Sulphur can be present in mineral insulating oil and manifest stable, highly reactive corrosive form. The sulphur reacts with the copper conductor transformer forms semi conductive sulphide at surface of conductor. paper insulation used on may get damaged due to sulfide deposits which also affect partial discharge activities prevalent paper-oil insulation. model is studied online measurement Dissipation factor (tanδ) discharges (PD). presents results investigatory work carried out on-line tanδ PD measurements made during experiments Paper covered (PCCC) presence Di-Benzo-Di-Sulfide contamination oil.
